Virtual OSCE: Experience and challenges with a large cohort of pharmacy students

In response to the inability conduct conventional face-to-face objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) due COVID-19 lockdown, this study explored options design virtual OSCE (vOSCE) that meets objectives and standards of effective competency-based assessment for a large cohort pharmacy students. The vOSCE required advanced planning actual technical conduct. development master plan consisting types competencies test, topics number cases, rubrics, guided team members develop an adequate module. Technical aspects included recruitment examiners, simulated patients (SP), support, platform vOSCE. main challenges were ensure well-ordered stable internet connection SP, Google Meet was utilised its functionality, familiarity, low consumption all parties involved.
